Jean-Jacques Bertrand

Mr Bertrand began his career at France Télécom holding a variety of positions. Then, he was in charge of industrial negotiations in the European Union for the French prime minister’s office, after which he became an adviser to the minister for culture and communications. Following a stint at an IT services company, he joined Banexi, the BNP Paribas group’s investment bank, where he was named President of the communications industries department. He started working on the first ETMF fund generation at that time.

He has degrees from the Ecole Polytechnique (Paris), the Ecole Supérieure des Telecommunications (Paris) and the Institut d’Etudes Politiques (Paris).

Dominique Rencurel

Partner

Mr Rencurel started his carrer at BNP Paribas as branch manager and later joined the internal audit department of the group, where for four years he conducted audits in France and abroad. Then he joined Banexi, the BNP Paribas group’s investment bank, as Vice President of the communications industries department and started working on the first ETMF fund generation at that time.

He is also a professor at the Sorbonne in the Institut d’Administration des Entreprises’ Financial and Tax Engineering postgraduate diploma program. Mr Rencurel gives seminars on private equity for chartered accountants in the KPMG network of firms. He holds a Master’s degree in econometrics and monetary economics from the Université de Paris Dauphine.

Christian Borie

Partner

Mr Borie started his career at Banexi, the BNP Paribas group’s investment bank, in the Portuguese subsidiary, where he worked on several M&A projects in the telecoms and media sectors. Then he moved to the Paris headquarter in the communications industries department. He started working on the first ETMF fund generation at that time.

He holds a degree from the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce in Paris.

Pierre-Eric Leibovici

After a first experience with Merrill Lynch’s emerging market risk management entity in New York, Mr Leibovici joined the Banexi, the BNP Paribas group’s investment bank, in the communications industries department and started working on the first ETMF fund generation at that time.

In addition, he is a professor of financial engineering at ESCP EAP and has co-authored a book on legal, fiscal and financial engineering (Ingénierie Financière, Fiscale et Juridique, 2009-2010, Dalloz). He holds an MBA in entrepreneurship from Babson College (Massachusetts, USA), a Master of Science in financial engineering from the Université Panthéon Sorbonne (Paris) and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Ecole Supérieure Libre de Sciences Commerciales Appliquées (Paris).

Pierre-Yves Meerschman

After developing a microcredit project in Cambodia, Mr Meerschman joined Ernst & Young’s Paris audit team. In that position, he carried out numerous assignments in the oil and telecoms sectors. Then he worked on mergers and acquisitions at Société Générale as part of the Financial Institutions Group. After those experiences he joined BNP Paribas Private Equity. He started working on the second ETMF fund generation at that time.

He studied at Universität St-Gallen in Switzerland and is a graduate of HEC Shool of Management in Paris.
